La Casa Compartida (shared house in Spanish) is a luxuriously decorated four-bedroom, four-bathroom villa that is the perfect base for your San Lameer holiday.
The villa also has two lounges, a pool and garden and beautiful golf course views.
La Casa Compartida is ideally situated on the prestigious, tropical golf estate of San Lameer on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast, close to Southbroom.
The villa is one of a select number in the most recently opened, and most desirable, section of San Lameer, Die Heuwel (the hill), which has much larger plots, and more privacy, than the rest of the San Lameer Estate.
WHO SHOULD STAY?
La Casa Compartida is best suited to guests who want a relaxed, self-catered coastal stay with friends or family - in absolute comfort.
Because it is serviced daily, guests can sit back and do what they came here to do - have a holiday! If you prefer, you can decide how often you want the villa serviced.
While La Casa Compartida is ideal for guests who love golf and the beach, there is so much to see and do at San Lameer, and in the area, that nobody, of any age, should struggle to be entertained!
This 350m² villa offers seamless indoor/outdoor living in addition to an upstairs TV lounge. The large patio has dining for twelve people, sun loungers, a large gas barbecue and a Weber barbecue.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a gourmet cook might need.
The four en-suite bedrooms are all fitted with high-quality mattresses, Egyptian cotton linen, built-in-cupboards, carpets, and air conditioners. Two bedroom have queen-sized beds and two bedrooms have two 3/4 beds.
Outdoors is a beautiful warm pool, complete with sun loungers and comfortable sofa seating. The pool area is accessible through sliding doors that open up the indoor lounge completely to allow for seamless indoor/outdoor living.
There is also undercover outdoor dining for twelve guests. The large entertainment area is set in a beautiful tropical garden with plentiful bird life and small buck close by.
Indoor living & dining
The open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge allows for sociable and relaxed entertaining.
The custom designed kitchen includes Miele and AEG appliances, an extra drinks fridge, an ice making machine and Le Creuset pots and pans.
There is cable television (DStv Premium) and a DVD player, with an additional TV and DVD player in the second lounge upstairs.
Bedrooms & bathrooms
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and two bedroom upstairs. Each floor has one bedroom with a queen-size bed and one bedroom with twin 3/4 beds.
The four en-suite bedrooms are all fitted with high-quality mattresses, Egyptian cotton linen, built-in-cupboards, carpets and air conditioners. The two bedrooms with queen-size beds have both a shower and a bath in their bathrooms the other two have a shower.
FACILITIES & SERVICES
La Casa Comaprtida provides two televisions in two separate lounges (perfect for giving the kids their own space), both with cable television/DStv (Premium bouquet), a DVD player, a large gas barbecue, hair dryers, air conditioners and mosquito machines.
The villa is serviced daily and a laundry service is available. Towels, bed linen, beach towels, toilet paper, soap and cleaning materials are all provided.
The villa has a pool (no net) and a garden. Golf carts can be hired at the club house at a daily rate.
San Lameer has a superette, a beach take-away, a library and a beach clothing store, all on the estate.
THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA
Whether it’s 18 holes of golf on a championship course, or 9 holes of fun on the Par 3, swimming in the villa's private pool or lounging around the enormous resort pool, the options are endless: floodlit tennis courts, squash courts, bowls, cricket nets, a playground for the kids and a spa and wellness centre.
Walks with an abundance of birds and small buck, and a fishing dam a short amble from the house. Paths and roads suitable for walking, cycling or jogging.
A Blue Flag beach with a private entrance that invites you into the water or to stroll along its pristine sands...and that's just at San Lameer!
Along the south coast there is also plenty to do and see: 9 magnificent golf courses within easy reach, beautiful beaches, sea fishing, a casino, a waterpark for the kids, Oribi gorge and a coffee estate, all a short distance away.
Mountain bike on the estate
San Lameer has recently added a mountain bike trail through the estate that has been given an intermediate grading. It is made up of seven inter-leading trails with a total distance of 7km. Depending on your pace it takes about 30 – 50 minutes per lap to complete. The trail takes in seven sections of inter-linking single track and consists of approximately 5 km single track and 2 km paved and gravel road.
Explore the area's beaches
There are many beautiful beaches in the immediate vicinity of San Lameer - including private access from the estate to the Blue Flag Marina Beach on the resort's doorstep.
Visit Oribi Gorge
Oribi Gorge is a beautiful canyon and nature reserve that is well worth the visit. There are fantastic hiking trails, picnic sites and view sites that make for a lovely outing.
Boost your caffeine intake
Beaver Creek, near Port Edward, is the world's most southern coffee estate. You can enjoy a 30-45 minute "crop to cup" tour of the estate and then indulge in a slice of cake and (no surprises here) a cup of coffee!
Sweat on the squash courts
San Lameer also has two squash courts near the hotel for guests to use.
Spoil your walk with some golf
Not known as the Golf Coast for nothing, there are at least 9 fantastic golf courses in the area, in addition to the beautiful, and challenging, San Lameer 18-hole course.
Scout the lagoon on a pedal boat
Hire a pedal boat on the resort and explore the beautiful lagoon with its amazing bird life.
Relax with a spa treatment
Camelot Spa Group runs a very professional luxury spa at the hotel on the resort - a real treat for the senses.
Cash in at the casino
If you're feeling lucky there is a large casino at the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino in close proximity to San Lameer.

Kwa-Zulu Natal is well-known for its excellent surfing so bring your board. Boogie boarding (and body boarding) is also excellent all along the coast.
